Tim Koenning, Investment Advisor Representative, Transamerica Financial Advisors, Inc. With over 33 years' experience in the financial services industry, Tim joined Transamerica Financial Advisors, Inc., in 2012 to recruit, train and mentor a team of independent financial advisors while continuing to maintain his own personal investment services practice.

After graduating from Georgia State University in 1986, Tim worked for noted financial services firms such as Bear Stearns, Prudential Securities and Raymond James & Associates, prior to going independent in 1997 with American Wealth Management, Inc. In 2003, Tim helped form Magnolia Financial Advisors, an independent investment advisory firm in Buford, Georgia. Prior to joining

TFA in 2012, Tim was part of the predecessor of TFA, Investment Advisor International (IAI).

While residing in Buford, Tim became President of Buford Business Alliance (BBA) in 2005, and during his time the organization grew from less than 20 to over 250 members while promoting the city of Buford and the local organizations with special events that drew thousands of people to the city. In 2011, Tim was presented the “Lifetime Honorary President” award. Tim was also an active

board member of the North Gwinnett Kiwanis while residing in Buford.

Tim leads a group of advisors focused on retirement planning and helps individual and business clients with investments, annuities and insurance needs. The advisor group is dedicated on serving

the small to mid-market qualified retirement plan (i.e., 401k, 403b, SEP, etc.). They also assist banks, CPAs and other professional advisors increase their revenue base by introducing and implementing unique referral models that incorporates retirement vehicles and services.

Tim is the father of two adult children, both graduates of the University of Georgia, his oldest is a veterinary doctor in Roswell and his youngest is a musician and works with UPS. Tim was formally the president of the Johns Creek Kiwanis and currently on the board and the Missions Director of Amor Real Ministries, a missions based 501c3. Being fluent in Spanish, Tim leads mission/humanitarian teams to Peru throughout the year.
