How did you get started in this business?
I grew up in an alcoholic family, husband was alcoholic and son was alcoholic/addict. My son ended up in our area Drug Court Program and I knew that my calling was to be a counselor based on all the life experience I've had with that and with major marriage issues as well.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All types. Individuals struggling with drugs and alcohol, depression, anxiety, same sex attraction, marriage problems, low self-esteem, anger issues, pre-marriage.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am particularly fond of anytime that my husband and I can minister to other couples who are contemplating divorce and share our story with them and offer them a glimmer of hope.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I am a true believer in education but also experience in similar situations. It's been my experience that people are more apt to receive things from you if you have walked a mile in their shoes.
