About

Melanie Hill Flenory, LMT has a Health & Wellness approach to providing custom treatment catered to the physical state and lifestyle of each individual. Her specialty is integrative massage, a blend of Swedish, Neuromuscular Therapy, Deep Tissue, Acupressure, and Energy Techniques. She enhances Chiropractic care and pain management (including pain meds enhancement) with the manipulation of musculoskeletal attachments using various modalities of massage.

A graduate of Everest Institute with a background as a professional dancer gives her clients insight on her knowledge of the use of mobilization and stretching to ensure proper function & circulation concerning the joints. Her manipulation of soft tissue (muscle, tendon, ligament, blood, lymph fluid, or cerebrospinal fluid) opens treatment options to influence any body system. Her use of Energy Techniques keeps her clients feeling revitalized and refreshed with every session.

Massage & Bodywork is a very rewarding Manual Therapy. It keeps me inspired seeing the results of my professional services. My clients are the best part of my day.

Frequently asked questions

We will go through a simple intake process where you can be advised on options according to your current physical state, any chronic conditions or current medications, and lifestyle choices. It's best to be honest during this simple 5 to 10 minute process.

Also, any questions about the session will be answered and you will be able to have a professional & confidential therapist-client relationship that is protected by HIPPA privacy laws in the U.S. to protect you & ensure standard treatment.

During the massage session, any manual therapy may be used at various pressures that can change according to what is best recommended by the Therapist, and, what is also comfortable for the Client.

If at any time you are uncomfortable, or, at the discretion of the Therapist we may terminate the session at any time with regards to serving you according to practice standards.

Remember, your licensed Therapist will keep standard records of your progress and can answer any questions you may have after the session. Also, you may keep your own records of treatment to verify how much treatment was so that you may file a claim for reimbursement with your insurance provider.

Since we are currently booking for corporate wellness or in-home clinic only, we require about 5'x9' of space to set up the massage treatment table or chair. We usually arrive 15 to 30 mins prior to the booked time. We will setup & breakdown the equipment easily, just check the details on our in-home clinic process on our site.

I was a professional dancer looking for development along a wellness path that would enhance performance & a wellness based lifestyle. Massage was always very useful with any area of entertainment performance and sports, and has proven to be a wonderful way to treat the body with total wellness.

Since 2013, I've shared a client list with long-standing Doctors of Chiropractic care, Corporate Wellness programs at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, several spas & massage centers, some pro athletes, and some in-home clinic clients.

I enjoyed visiting the Solarium at Historic Scottish Rite. It was wonderful! I had a booth I shared with a H2H Wellness from practicing alongside a Chiropractor, and we enjoyed an informational evening with tons of entertainment and giveaways. Beautiful historic landmark!

Be honest with your wellness goals and concerns. Your Therapist should be very open to questions and sensitive to your needs. There's no rush, so do whatever research you need to do to be comfortable with beginning a treatment session for the first time with a different Therapist.

Every Therapist is trained according to standard, and it is in fact medical training. If any Energy techniques or Traditional Chinese Medicine is part of the Therapist's treatment, you may find out if this is included by asking specific questions about their treament style.

Here are some top questions to ask a Therapist:

Do I need Swedish or Deep Tissue?

How long do you recommend my session is?

How often do I need massage for the goals I have?

How long have you been practicing?

Is there any modality you don't do? Like Accupressure?

Can you describe what a session is like?

If I have any pain or discomfort, how is it described and where?

When did I notice any pain or discomfort?

What kind (modality) of massage might I prefer?

Do I have any wellness goals or lifestyle choices to consider like weight loss, pregnancy, relaxation, pain management, stress management, or recovery?
