How did you get started in this business?
After helping homeless women over several years, I decided to return to school for formal training in clinical counseling. I’ve not turn back since in my involvement in helping those seeking knowledge and understanding in how to cope with stress, health issues, or mental health conditions.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Seniors, Adult women and men, young adults, and adolescents. Individuals of diverse nationalities, cultures, and ages.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am excited to host my first Women’s Retreat in Dahlonega, Ga at the start of June.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would suggest all clients take time to have an initial counseltation with the therapist, and then go from there. Of course, look them up and consider their training and education.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Consider your commitment to therapy. I tell all my clients to expect to work at achieving their goals. A successful therapeutic experience requires the clients’ willingness to learn and work through the challenges they are experiencing. The therapist has to build trust, be supportive, and willing to go the distance with the client. There is a dynamic in therapy between the client and therapist that must be professional and consistent in order to see expected results.
