About
There are times on our journey of life that we do not know how to respond to the changes and challenging situations that come our way. This is where I come in. It is my belief that helping people involves compassionate skill which is underpinned with the understanding that we all have the inborn capability or potential to be all we can possibly be and can learn to make valuable choices. Thus, I am dedicated to practicing a standard of counseling that allows these inner resources and abilities to emerge and flourish. There are a number of different pathways that can be chosen and tailered to each unique situation which will enable meaningful growth and change. This applies to relationship issues, family struggles, and individual concerns.
Having practiced for 16 years in Hong Kong, Indiana, and Georgia I have seen clients become more integrated and whole using this approach.
I earned a M.Ed. in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Newcastle, UK., and a M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the City University of Seattle, Seattle, WA. However, my education has been ongoing by building my skills through learning new approaches and working with experienced therapists.
