Throw in sharing all of your deepest darkest fears and traumas to a complete stranger can be even more perplexing. From my own personal experience, I know that deep healing comes when you can have a relationship with your therapist not based on authority but based on someone who has had shared experiences and can relate to what it’s like to be human. I like to use humor and levity to both build our relationship and help deepen and repair the relationship to the self to transform pain into healing and growth.

I can sit here and bore you with my interests, experience, who I am, and what my credentials are. Or, I can remind you that you are the boss, specialist, and expert witness of your life. Which means, my job is not only "to give you my expert opinion”, but also to remind you that you are the expert and as such already have many of the answers you are seeking.

WARNING: My therapy style is not for everyone. I am open, honest, and I will at times expect things from you like practicing what we discuss in our sessions. I am also not a miracle worker, I do not have a crystal ball and sometimes I don’t even have all the answers. What I do have is compassion, experience in life and therapy, and a love for what I do.
