Melanie Bowman, LCSW, MPH

Melanie Bowman is a licensed clinical social worker in St. Petersburg, Florida. With nearly ten years of in depth experience working with family caregivers, Melanie offers unique insight and expertise in her field. Previous to starting her private practice, Melanie owned and operated one of the largest home care agencies in Tampa Bay. During this time, Melanie recognized a reoccurring pattern of depression, anxiety, isolation and shame in professional and family caregivers.

Melanie has been invited to be a guest speaker at events throughout Tampa Bay and enjoys facilitating caregiver support groups. As a member of the St. Petersburg Commission on Aging, Melanie is committed to being civically engaged to enhance the well- being of older adults and the caregivers that serve them in the St. Petersburg and Tampa Bay area.

Melanie has been involved in evidenced based research at the University of South Florida and is published in the International Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry.
