About

Hello! Thank you for checking out my bio and services. I am passionate about empowering others to make the change they desire in their lives. My approach to counseling is deeply informed by my doctoral research which focuses on the practical question, “how do we change our emotion and thought patterns so as to develop the strengths that lead to a flourishing life?” I strongly believe that we all have the ability to change and that the tools offered by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (among other modalities) provide the resources we need to achieve the flourishing lives we are all worthy of having. My clinical work is motivated by my passion for empowering others with the loving-support, skill sets, and resources they need to change, overcome, and live their lives to their fullest potential.

I have experience supporting individuals with a range of issues, including emotional regulation, anger management, depression and anxiety, stress management and mindfulness, relational conflict, marital discord and communication, questions about meaning and purpose, existential crises and concerns, moral dilemmas, values/belief clarification and development, transitions/adjustment between life-stages, faith-based questions and concerns, trauma-related issues, and more. My approach to counseling integrates three leading therapeutic modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I carefully customize my approach based on the needs and concerns of each individual or couple I counsel.

In addition, my training in philosophy and theology prepares me to offer a faith-based Christian approach to counseling for clients seeking this competency.

My practice is based out of McKay Therapy Connections in St. Pete, FL. I work as a registered mental health intern under the direction of psychologist Dr. Katherine McKay.

I offer a 15-30 minute free phone consultation. Please feel free to call me and let me know how I can be of service to you! I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

I greatly enjoy the opportunity to walk alongside my clients as they explore new ways of being, acting, thinking, and feeling. I find great joy in seeing my clients take steps towards leading a freer, fuller, more peace-filled, life!

Frequently asked questions

First, I set up a 15-minute phone call to answer any questions they may have and to better understand what brings them to therapy.

Next, I set up an intake appointment time that works for the client's needs. I then send over intake paperwork for the client to complete before our first appointment.

After that, we conduct appointments according to what is clinically necessary.

I have a doctorate in Philosophy, with a concentration on moral psychology, as well as a master's in Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida. I have also had over 2000 hours of clinical therapy training wherein I have worked with individuals and couples with a range of psychological concerns. I am currently pursuing certification as an Emotion-Focused Therapist.

I typically charge $100/hour for all clients. I also offer invoices for insurance reimbursement.
