What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The Founder, Kim Lovern, has been an Accountant and Licensed Tax Preparer since 1994. Having worked in several industries, such as Construction, Real Estate and Non-Profit, Kim has a wide range of knowledge in varied industries. She also holds a Masters Degree in Accounting and Taxation. In 2015, she opened the firm Reliant Tax Pros so she could help small business and individual clients with a wide range of consulting, accounting, tax and QuickBooks issues. She is currently taking exams for the Certified Public Accountant designation.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We recently finished an S-Corp for a customer and instead of owing close to $2,000 we were able to produce a refund of $350 dollars. We ask questions so we can get the best refund for our clients! Our customers are like us, all trying to generate that revenue. We want to be able to help save our customers money, ALWAYS!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Verify your tax preparer is registered with the IRS as a registered tax return preparer. The IRS provides a directory of tax preparers who have education credentials and have demonstrated solid knowledge in tax preparation.
