What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In working with a new customer one must gain a complete understanding of the client's need. The CPA hs a responsibility to document as much information as possible and ensure that the client fully understand the job done and is fully satisfied. Honesty and knowledge should be at the forefront of the engagement. Accounting and taxation is a personal matter hence trust is very important.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I possess a CPA designation and is licensed in the State of Florida. In addition I hold a masters degree in accounting. I keep abreast of my profession by ensuring that I attend seminars and webinars to keep current with my profession
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I keep in line with the standard prices for a basic return, however it is difficult to give an accurate quote not knowing the extent of the work involved. I think it is important that the client understand that the final quote can only be done when the extent of the work involved is known. Remember that a low quote is not necessarily the best.
How did you get started in this business?
After my degree and the the CPA designation I seeked employment in CPA firms and eventually started my own practice.
What types of customers have you worked with?

Do your research. Ensure that the alleged pro has the necessay qualification and is in good standing with the professional organization to which they belong. Ensure that the person is licensed. Do not rely on promises that are too good to be true or be a party to things that you know may not be legal
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Question the pro about his knowledge, qualifications, and experience. Question the pro on matters that you may be familiar with and see what responses he or she has.
