Additionally, it can be more expensive if customers need to file extra schedules, or if they are disorganized and we need to dig through receipts for them.

Those promising to get the biggest return. Taxes are taxes, rules are rules. When following the rules (which all legitimate preparers are required to), the outcome is the outcome. Every year there is generally modifications to the IRS rules, and this results in different amounts. If done properly, this should be the only difference in your return.
