Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I use a process that requires a minimum of 2-3 appointments. First, I need to understand my clients’ needs, strengths, gaps to fill, and limitations or hurdles to overcome. Then, I show how goals they thought were unreachable are doable.
· During the initial appointment, my clients learn about who I am, what I do, and how I work, and I learn about their needs, dreams, financial goals, and where they are financially.
· During the second appointment, I provide a written and detailed professional analysis of what I learned at our last meeting, identify areas of strength and where gaps exist. I also explain and offer my assessment of their available options.
· In many cases, the client agrees with the assessment and is ready to implement their chosen plan. In this case, I set the plan in motion.
· In other cases, the client needs to digest the information while I seek to understand better and answer their questions. Finally, we set another appointment for me to return, answer any additional questions and begin to implement the plan they have chosen.
A part of the Implementation process involves setting a tentative schedule to meet and review the plan, at least once every year; we can schedule more frequent appointments if the situation requires more frequent contacts,
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I bring a combination of experience, professionalism, and access to a wide variety of products and services that can help you meet your financial goals, estate strategies, investment, and insurance needs. I have a background in accounting, possess two master’s degrees, and am licensed to speak about and recommend investment and insurance products in several states. I am currently completing the Chartered Financial Consultant Designation at the American College of Financial Services. I will also sit for the Certified Financial Planner examination upon completion of the program.
