Struggling with an addiction or stressors creates challenges that interfer with our quality of life. I enjoy helping others solve their problems. My goal is in aiding my clients to see their strengths, rely on new coping skills perhaps rusty ones, and reach out with excitement for the new life they can obtain.

How did you get started in this business?
NE Florida deserves to be a strong recovery community. Having found a new lifestyle in recovery myself, I wanted to share the joy found in sobriety from addiction, lifestyle addiction and poor decision making. As a Master Level Certified Addiction Professional, it is my pleasure to educate others on relapse prevention, developing coping skills and building stronger sober support systems.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Recovery Counseling and More offers services to people in all walks of life.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
While I would love to tell you of our successes, confidentiality is paramont in our industry. What's said here, stays here. We appreciate our clients and want them to be comfortable in knowing this place is safe to shed their pain, fears and regrets. Our living room atmosphere offers a welcome environment to gain support, educational tools and encouragement. At Recovery Counseling and More, you are family.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Connection - are you being heard? Counseling does not solve your problems. It gives you support and tools while you work to solve your problems. There is no magic potion, no rescue, we are not fairy godmothers or fathers. You will need to take action as this is not a passive process. It takes committment on your part to follow-through.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What do I want to accomplish? Am I willing to change my behaviors to achieve my goal? Am I open to trusting this person with my pain?
If someone is promising you a quick-fix solution, it isn't real. Many times we get in situations over a period of bad choices. It takes time to learn the skills and apply them to change the outcome of those choices.
