About
My diverse education and training in Mental Health Counseling & Marriage and Family Therapy permits me to be proficient in treating a wide variety of issues. Clients come to see me for a number of difficulties, including life transitions, anxiety, family conflict, relationship problems, intimacy issues, break-ups, mood disorders and challenges related to everyday life. I prefer that my experiences with clients be empowering, efficient, solution-oriented, as well as cost-effective. I know that your time is valuable therefore I often defer to briefer forms of therapy to assist us on this journey.
I work with individuals, couples and families who are seeking change in their lives or within their significant relationships. Specifically, I specialize in working with couples, family, adolescent girls, women and LGBTQ population.
I take a non-traditional approach to psychotherapy as I prefer not to analyze behaviors in terms of "pathology". I believe that all behaviors, situations and experiences can be understood if we explore the unique context in which they exist. I therefore like to coordinate treatment interventions with client's strengths, resources and skills.
