Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically I will speak to a new patient over the phone to see if their condition is something I can help. If we determine that acupuncture or nutrition is the way for them to go I will book their appointment and email them the forms to fill out online.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my bachelor's of Science in nutrition and dietetics from Florida International University. I received my acupuncture training at the Atlantic Institute of Oriental medicine.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Please call for this information as it depends on if you are coming into my office or if I am traveling to you.
How did you get started in this business?
I got started in this business over 20 years ago to help address health concerns of my children.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of customers. I have worked with young people, middle-aged people, and the elderly. I have worked with everything from neurological diseases to pain to psychological issues.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently headed the relief effort for acupuncturists Without Borders in the Parkland area. The gratitude that those people expressed and receiving the free treatments was very heartwarming. Some people felt that the acupuncture is the only thing that help them deal with getting through the tragedy on a day-to-day basis. I had one woman say that the acupuncture was probably saving her marriage! Being able to help people who are suffering so badly was something dear to me. It's very rewarding work.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
If you're looking for an acupuncturist you want to make sure that they are licensed in the state of Florida and as with anything experience is key. Obviously the acupuncturist who's been doing this for 10 years is going to be better than the acupuncturist whose only been doing it for 1 year.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
I believe the most important thing is that the patient feels comfortable with their acupuncturist. There's a lot of trust involved when you're embarking on a healing Journey so you need to have someone in your corner that you feel good about.
