Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a new client walks through the door they are ususally greeted by our receptionist. We then give them a simple one page intake paper to fill out so we can disguss what their goals are for this visit. They will then be greeated by the massage therapist who will read the paper and talk with the client to begin a game plan for their desired outcome.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Since I have been in the massage field for over twenty nine years I have taken many courses. I have certificates for medical massage so I can help clients with pain management. I am an expert in CRT cranial release technique which is a procedure that helps you relax from the inside out. I have also taken classes in fibromyalgia therapy and courses in light therapy to name a few.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We pretty much charge $65.00 an hour and $35.00 for half an hour for services across the board. There are a few exceptions when using tools such as hot stone, bamboo massage and cupping.
How did you get started in this business?
I have been working on people for as long as I can remember and when I learned I could get paid for what I loved to do I was thrilled. Finding the right school was a challenge but once that was done everything fell into place.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with so many people in the years I have been in business. I work with men, women some children but we require the parents to be present at time of session. I have helped weekend warriors, athletes, couch potatoes and office workers to name a few.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
There are many times when I wish I could ask a client if I could video them when I see they are in such bad shape when walking through my door. I seem to always forget until they walk out of the room not limping back straight and a big smile on their face. Each time I mention this they always say yes you should have at least taken a picture before. We get many referrals due to being able to help our clients have pain relief naturally.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure they are licensed and that it is up to date. Ask about their training and how long they have been in practice. See if they have a passion for what they are doing and that it is not just a job.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
How far do I want to travel to find the best therapist?
What kind of results do I want?
Can I commit to what the therapist will suggest to get the desired outcome?
