Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We'll start by getting to know eachother a bit. I'll tell you about the way I keep your info confidential and what you can expect from counseling. You'll tell me a little about your background, past experience with counseling, and what you hope to change as a result of our sessions together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Masters Degree in Social Work from an accredited University (University of North Carolina), and am licensed by the state of Florida (which involves several years of supervised counseling experience and passing the national exam). I have been counseling children and adults since 2002 and have worked for government agencies and non-profits serving children and adults with issues such as anxiety, low self esteem, relationship problems, finding purpose in life, and coping with aging and caring for family members.
