Normally, I go to my client, rather than have them come to me. Given the COVID-19 status, we can "meet" via video call and tax documents can be uploaded to my client portal. Please visit website or send email/text for portal link.
The challenge of working with numbers and problem solving is fun. I particularly love payroll because everybody loves getting paid and I strive to ensure that, not only the employees are happy, but the employers too are happy.
Employees are happy when they get paid on time and when they can access their pay information without any hastle.
Employers are happy when their tax payments and reports are done accurately and timely.

I collect required documents (W2, drivers license, soc card, 1099 or other tax forms), have a brief meeting to discuss unique tax situations then prepare return. They can either review final return in person or online (after payment is made). Once they approve return it is filed. Only returning clients may review return without pre-paying.
I have had problems over the past couple of years with new clients receiving a copy for review, then they use it to file their own return and I don't get paid for the work I have done.
Ialways participate in the IRS Annual Tax Return Preparer course. Further, I have the training I received, years ago, when I was hired by the IRS as a Revenue Agent.
