About
I've been working with taxes for over 30 years and in my private practice since 2011. I have the AFSP rating from the IRS, which means they have verified my continuing education, background check, and they give me representation rights on tax returns I've prepared.
My goal is to seek out even available deduction and credit to help you pay the least amount of taxes required by law.
I look forward to serving you!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We can meet in person, or we can meet on the web. To make an in-person appointment call me at 302-528-1053, or go to my web page www.bobdoestaxes.com to request an appointment. For web services simply send me your E-mail. I will set up an online secure mailbox where we can safely transfer documents.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a business degree (BS) from Liberty University, and I am a certified Paralegal from Blackstone School of Law. I also have a Master of Arts degree.
My experience includes my private practice since 2011. Prior to that I have 30 years experience in the corporate world.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
For tax preparation I charge by the form. Naturally the full schedule is long, but most forms don't apply to the average tax filer.
My fee for a basic personal return (1040) with one state is $99.
For a basic business return with one state (1065, 1120, or 1120S) the base fee is $149.
I would be happy to discuss your particular needs. I know you will find my rates very reasonable.
How did you get started in this business?
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with any clients filing personal tax returns, or those who have small businesses.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I love to find ways to save on taxes for my clients. Recently a client brought me a tax return filed by a store front tax service. I was able to correct errors and file an amended return obtaining a several hundred dollar refund. She was thrilled. She had a dental procedure coming up that she didn't know how to pay for and the refund covered it.
Another client had been procrastinating for several years on filing. However, when we completed her returns she had a refund of over $20,000 and an understanding of why it is important to file on time.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Look for someone with substantial experience and someone who will take the time to probe for every possible deduction.
Also, be careful of services that high on promotions. They may have many minimally trained staff and their fees may be unusually high.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Give thought to your entire financial activity. Investments, savings, types of income, etc. can all affect your taxes and what deductions and credits are available.
