Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I arrange a ZOOM meeting with the new client. During the meeting, I complete the client intake and go over the Client Engagement Letter and Privacy Policy.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked for the IRS as a Tax Examiner from 2009 to 2016. Before then, I worked for a local tax preparation company for 4 years. So total, I have over 10 years experience in the tax business.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I typically start a new client at $120 which is a 20% discount from my regular base price of $150.
How did you get started in this business?
I actually started out helping a neighbor who was caught up in a massive IRS fraud investigation. I was able to assist her and the experience left me in awe of the IRS machince and how it worked.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with small business clients and individuals. While an employee in the banking industry, I worked with International Taxation for global clients.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I regularly study foreign languages. I had my study app accept a correction I made to their translation of a Chinese sentence. That was a big deal to me! Made me feel proud.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Take a little bit of time to get to know the pro a little more intimately. Yes, that means asking personal questions. For example: "Tell me what you do when you are not working on a tax return?" This will tell you about them as a person and their committment to excellence!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Does my timeframe allow for the pro to do the job I need done?
