About

As a mobile notary business, Fast Notaries, LLC. is represented by Larry Faulkner who is appointed by the Commonwealth of Virginia's governor. Larry can fulfill all requirements for witnessing all signatures and the acknowledgment of deeds as required for a document to be authenticated. Fast Notaries began in 2011.

Larry has been certified/qualified by the National Notary Association (NNA) and Notary2Pro. He is certified to take fingerprints and is an authorized eNotary which enables him to digitally sign documents in-person or remotely. He is certified to use PAVASO, Adobe Sign, Adobe Acrobat DC and Doc Verify.

The duties performed as a notary public include the screening of those who participate in the signing of certain documents such as deeds, bills of exchange or wills. Through this process, ascertaining the identity of the involved parties, their willingness to sign the documents and the absence of coercive elements or intimidation. When appropriate, he can administer an oath whereby the participants are required to provide correct information or risk committing perjury.

The services provided rely on impartiality, which lends the services a quality of trust. Larry does not refuse to offer services to someone based on their race, sex or religion, nor does he act in situations in which a conflict of personal interest may arise.

Frequently asked questions

New customers fall into three main categories: (1) Signing companies, law firms, and Title Companies looking for a notary in the area that is close to their signer/borrower/client. (2) Software or other service providers looking to expand their certified clients who can perform digital notarizations (in-person or remotely "in Virginia"). (3) The general public who have been told that they need something notarized on a one-time basis.

The "typical Process for working with a new customer" is different for each category of customer.

Establishing what is needed by the customer, when it is needed, the fee that will be agreed upon and any other conditions that may apply to the immediate need (e.g. special parking arrangements, special access required, are witnesses required, etc.) All these factors known up-front help to make completing a notarization successfully. Accuracy and completeness are essentials to a quality notarization.

I am certified by the National Notary Association (NNA), Notary2Pro and I am experienced in using remote notary software PAVASO, docVerify and Adobe Acrobat DC.

I regularly read blogs and articles on the current state of the notary industry and network with other local notaries.
