About

I'm a psychologist with more than 25 years of experience helping people get the traction they need to create real change in their lives. To each session, I bring top-notch credentials, expertise, and experience, together with authenticity, directness, and empathy.

Life is often far from easy, and living a full life can be even more elusive. Feelings of being stuck or frustrated, as well as anxiety and depression, can get in the way of having that life. Contacting a highly-qualified psychotherapist can be a major, healthy step towards moving forward in your life.

In addition to my extensive background in clinical psychology, I'm a neuropsychologist. I respect and am fascinated by the connections between physical and emotional well-being, and I stay up to date on the research and clinical use of understanding those connections.

Before entering private practice, I was on the faculty at the Emory University School of Medicine, working with patients with traumatic brain injuries and other physical and psychological challenges, as well as teaching physicians about the importance of the mind-body connection to support health and happiness.

Now, in addition to working with individuals in my practice, I offer workshops and business-place consultations, and have written a best-selling book on using the science of mindfulness to help improve relationships.
