About this pro

In a warm, friendly environment I provide tools to help clients navigate through life's ups and downs.  From the most severe crisis to minor concerns I will guide you to creating balance in your life.  High stress levels can lead to anxiety and depression in both children and adults. It can also put a tremendous strain on a marriage. Stress and anxiety reduction are key factors in improving lives and warding off serious medical issues.  Together we will fill your metaphorical toolbox with tips, ideas, and techniques to help you work through your challenges.  My clients leave each session with a tool, skill, or idea to promote positive relationships and increased personal growth.  Eventually, these tools become the foundation for the client's long term goals.

I love connecting with people and teaching them basic tools they will use everyday to navigate their lives in a more balanced fulfilling way. Watching my clients grow is a gift that I treasure.

My daughter has established a nice relationship with Kimberly and that's all that matters to me. She looks forward to her sessions.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

At our first session we will focus on getting to know each other and develop an understanding of what can be expected from the therapeutic process. I will explain what my role is as the therapist and what they will need to do for the process to work. We will begin to discuss the issues that the client is struggling with and establish initial goals that the client wants to achieve. Typically tools are imparted to the client to help them better manage their stress levels and circumstances immediately.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have over 10 years experience working with individuals, families, couples, and groups.  I specialize in helping those with anxiety, panic disorder, and depression, however I work with a wide variety of mental health diagnoses. I have a bachelors degree in psychology from Binghamton University and a masters degree in social work from Adelphi University. Through my community talks on anxiety management, stress solutions and other important topics like interpersonal communication and personality disorders I have been fortunate to share my knowledge with others and learn a great deal from my research and experiences.
