Most people think that the accounting profession simply just crunching numbers. Although this may be true, but for me it’s much more than that. What I do on a daily basis is much more rewarding and important for the people. The general perception is that we are serious and boring. However as an accountant I can say more times than not we are quite the opposite. Here are a few reasons I love my profession and choose to do it: 1)Solving problems 2) Participate in strategic decision making and make strategic recommendations. 3) Collaborating with different departments 4) Analyze Data to guide decision making 5) Leading process improvements.
