What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It's best to call or e-mail me first. I'm happy to spend a few minutes on the phone with you without charge. Once I get a better understanding of your situation, I can quote a fee (hourly or flat fee for most services). I would then send you a retainer agreement which you would sign and send back to me with a portion of the fee agreed to as an advance retainer against time spent.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College (1975), and law degree (J.D.) from Vanderbilt University (1980). I worked 10 years in Wall Street law firms in New York City before launching my own practice in 1990. I've worked with over 15,000 clients in my career on virtually every legal issue faced by early stage companies.
