The motto for my practice says it all: Do What Works. I am now appraoching 25 years in practice and take my responsibility as a your therapist serioulsy. When we work togther, it won't just be a bunch of stuff I've read in some book. What I provide is a combination of the very best in evidence-based clincial practice and my years of experience helping people make difficulty changes. Though my practice tends to be busy, it's intentionally kept small enough to make sure you receive very personal service. You will not get lost in the suffle or treated like a number. When we work togther, you do not have to hassle with phone trees, assistants, receptionists, or interns. My practice is not just centered on providing the best possible therapeutic care but also on providing a customer service experinece to assure you and your family know you are being taken care of. One of the most tangible benefits of having been in this profession for over two decades is that I'm able to offer a wide variety of support. I have extensive experience treating anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, addiction, and problemmatic behavior of all sorts. 

It's hard for me to not be a little cynical about this question because it seems like the answer should be about how much I enjoy helping people. I do get a tremendous amount of satisfaction from seeing people make difficult changes and knowing I've been a part of that, but that's something every therapist should enjoy. But what do I enjoy most? Doing this job well demands I bring the very best of myself every day. I deeply enjoy knowing that this is not easy and that I have to work to be mentally and physically sharp in order to be any good. I think the my clients can sense right away that this isn't some kind of part-time deal for me. I work hard to make sure you receive the very best therapeutic care possible. When we hit that mark, this job is extremely fulfilling.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Anyone wishing to find out more about the services I offer and/or to schedule an appointment need only call or email me directly. I have a streamlined process for new clients that involves bare minimum paperwork required through a client portal. I'll collect some initial information to help me better understand what you're hoping to change. From there, we'll get to work.
