I really enjoy the stress relief that I provide for my clients. Everyone has a different skill set. I thoroughly enjoy tax work and bookkeeping...a lot of people hate it. The sheer joy that is exrepssed to me when I complete tax work and get my client's books in order makes it worth it.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Telephone or In-person Interview. Depending on the client, we set up a time to meet or I set up a secure FTP for the client to send me electronic documents.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been doing tax preparation since 2001, and I hold a BS in Mathematics. I have been doing Bookkeeping and Tax Preparation for small businesses since 2001.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Tax Preparation is tough to price because a lot depends on how much data needs to be input, and how much research I need to do into the past. My services for individuals start at $145 for basic services, and can range up to $499 for a more complicated return. My Tax Prep fees for individuals average about $275. Business returns are quoted on as case by case basis. My fees do include Federal, One State, and e-filing.
My bookkeeping fees are $45/hour. Services include account reconcilation, Accouts payable, Accounts receivable, data entry, and monthly or quarterly reports.
How did you get started in this business?
I discovered how much I enjoyed tax preparation when I was laid off from a sales job. I took a preparation class to get some work while I looked for a full time job. And..wow..just found a new job! LOL
A couple years later, I opened a brick and mortar business and discovered how much i really enjoyed the bookkeeping and financial data entry. Since I alerady knew taxes, it was pretty fun to see how the day to day operations affect and were affected by the bookkeeping.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All Kinds!! I specialize in bookkeeping for Real Estate professionals and Rental Property owners. That does not in any way pre-clude me from working with other small businesses.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Never forget to put a value on YOUR time! Think of how much time is "costs" you to do your account reconciliation, pay your bills, and just keep on top of your books. I can guarantee you, it takes me a fraction of the time it takes you! So as soon as you start thinking about how much a Pro costs...think of much time I can save you to work ON your buisness instead of IN your business!
