What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We make an appointment by text (SMS, email, Facebook), based on our mutual availability. On the day of your first appointment, I'll show up at your provided address and text you to let you know I've arrived so as to ensure I'm at the correct location and using the correct entrance. I'll have a portable table or chair with me, as well as my own linens and supplies. We'll have a short verbal interview where I ask about your areas of concern, goals for your massage, medical history, and current activities. I follow HIPAA standards, and this information is private and safe with me. A standard one-hour massage is 55 minutes of hands-on time, with 5 minutes of leeway to address small, lingering issues or provide basic instruction on stretching or posture. Expect me to show up +/-10 minutes from the time of your appointment, or to contact you by text if I'm going to be outside of that window. This is a professional massage service with an emphasis on health concerns that are 'too small' to require or benefit from the care of a Medical Provider. This is absolutely not a replacement for a medical evaluation, I am not a doctor.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm certified, licensed, and insured in the state of Colorado as a Professional Massage Therapist. I also have a Certificate in Massage for the Oncology patient, as well as training with several additional tools (hot stones, cupping, k-tape, aromatherapy)
