About

I have 20+ years of experience and I am an Accredited Investment Fiduciary. My team knows how to help you make actual progress toward your most important goals! Our firm is independent (meaning there is no ownership interest or quotas in any product or service) so our advice can always be unbiased.

You only pay for what you need. If you only want fiduciary investment management, that's all you pay for. If you only want financial advice, accountability, and ongoing coaching, that's all you pay for. You can do either or both. We have virtually no minimum, so that almost anyone can afford to get started with us.

Everything we do is personalized; no cookie-cutters here!

There is something special about sitting down with a client for a quarterly progress check or annual review and seeing the pride and satisfaction on their faces when they see what they have been able to accomplish with the right kind of advice and guidance from a professional like me.

    Frequently asked questions

I start with a brief phone call to get a quick sense of whether it makes sense for us to meet. Then I do a 70-90 minute initial consultation (either in person or via Zoom video conference). No charge or obligation. During that consult, I tell you a little about my firm and me, and you tell me a lot about your situation and what you think you are looking for. After I hear that, I can accurately tell you how I would help, what I would charge (if anything), and what the next steps would be. By the end of that consult, we will both know everything we need to know to decide if we want to work together.

I have an undergraduate degree in Business, an MBA in Finance, and I am an Accredited Investment Fiduciary. In addition, I have had all the classes and training and studying it took to pass my Investment Advisor exam and get registered with FINRA. I also have annual continuing education requirements.

These prices are only estimates, since I don't know your specifics. For clients who only want fiduciary investment management, I charge an asset-based fee that starts at 1% and goes down for larger portfolios. For clients who want financial advice, accountability, and ongoing coaching, I offer a subscription-based coaching service that is usually $1200 per year. You only pay for what you need. You can use either or both. Other services are available, but pricing depends on circumstances.

Our tagline is "Wherever your story takes you." This means we have the resources to help you no matter what your experience or station in life. I work with college students, young professionals, young families, mid-career folks, pre-retirees, and retirees. By coincidence, I have developed extensive experience working with divorced or widowed individuals, helping them put their financial lives back in order.

When looking for an advisor, I believe it is important to find a good fit. Does the advisor have the credentials that are important for what you need? How does the advisor get paid? Is the advisor a fiduciary? Does the advisor have the personality you want or need? Will the advisor push you in the right direction, or just blindly do whatever you ask? Can the advisor teach you what you want/need to know?

These are some of the questions I send to people before we do our initial consultation.

What made you ready for a change?
Concerns; what do you worry about the most?
What do you want out of a financial plan?
What do you want out of me?
What sort of lifestyle do you want in "retirement"?
If retirement happened tomorrow, what would it look like and how much income would you need to pay for it?
When do you want it to happen? At what age?
What have and haven't you liked about other financial professionals you have worked with before?
Are there people in your life who could become a financial burden to you in the future?
Are there any health or genetic issues we should be considering? (Long lives, cancer history, early deaths, etc.)

Imagine it's three years after you hired me. Looking back, what did I do that made you feel glad you decided to work with me? What does a successful relationship look like?
