The Incite Center LLC
About
As a mom of 2 boys and wife, married for 15+ years I understand the challenges that women face. My work with women encompasses career, relationship, sexuality and parenting support.
The soul of my counseling is the intentional pursuit of relating and connecting with my clients, a journey that allows us to discover the source of their struggles. Through our work, my clients:
- Develop Strong Support Networks.
- Learn Effective Coping Skills.
- Activate Their Strengths.
- Find Relief From Stress, Anxiety and Depression.
In collaborating with clients, my work involves a blend of clinical training in the form of EMDR, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies. These therapies are activated through the utilization of a white board and markers to demonstrate models, journaling for self exploration, art and creative resources for exploring our narrative.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every client and what they desire from counseling is unique to their situation. My process involves an hour long intake session that allows the client to share their story and for me to learn more about them. From there, we develop a plan around their specific needs and create a therapy roadmap. Clients feel more comfortable when they know there is a plan, that counseling is often more than just talking to someone. It's an opportunity to explore common issues, learn new concepts, develop advanced skills, integrate new ideas and challenge themselves in this time.

What types of customers have you worked with?
I enjoy working with all types of clients, however I mostly work with women and couples. Most of my clients are desiring support to find relief from occupation, family, relationship, and parenting stress. These common stressors have a way of creating anxiety, depressed mood, compulsive thoughts that make it hard to get through our day.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Unrelated to counseling, but recently I took my own advice and decided to do some prioritizing. I was working too many hours and not balancing my families needs very well. An urgent request was sent for help in coaching my sons little league team. My initial gut reaction was, I don't have time for that. There's no way I could make that work. After weeks of no one stepping up and the urgency picking up I chose to volunteer (I know what you are thinking.. and yes, I do have *some* experience in baseball, I can thank my 2 older brothers and dad for getting me into little league when I was a little girl).
This decision ended up being a great decision! I really needed to have more fun in my life, spend more time with my younger son and this was exactly the right medicine. Somehow, I was able to make it work in my schedule and it didn't cost me a thing! In fact, we had a blast! I learned some things in the process but most importantly I connected with my son and will never forget that experience.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Clients looking to connect with a counselor should ask a few questions:
What is the counselors experience in working with clients who had a similar issue or concern with the one you are presenting with.
This will tell you a lot about their work, their philosophy, the prognosis and care plan they create for clients. It's important to find someone that has experience and expertise in the treatment of the issue or concern you have.
What are your therapeutic procedures?
This question allows the therapist to provide a brief overview of their training and expertise. It provides clients with a deeper understanding of how that modality is utilized to treat their concern.
