Counseling With Jason
About
Having a background in physical therapy, a license in massage, and a license in counseling I approach counseling from a different angle. If all a person does is talk about an issue it rarely gets resolved. My aim is to introduce my clients to different tools and help them become skillful in their implementation. This is done to empower the client and teach them to let go physically, mentally, emotionally, and/or spiritually of whatever is keeping them stuck.
I enjoy seeing clients have “aha moments”. I am passionate about teaching clients how to shed their pain and release old patterns they have been holding onto. Seeing people transform from pain to Joy is what drives me to continually become better at what I do.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Usually we would start with a consultation over the phone. This is done in order to get to know each other and make sure we both think we would be a good fit. During our sessions we would work with whatever issues are present in the moment; this will most likely be different for everyone. My aim is to meet clients where they are, which can vary from session to session, and help them get to a place of acceptance and peace.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a licensed massage therapist specializing in John Barnes Myofascial Release, which is a type of somatic mind-body work to access and release physical and emotional restrictions.
I am a licensed professional counseling candidate specializing in somatic body based psychotherapy.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I charge 120 dollars for an hour(ish). If a client is in the middle of unwinding an emotion or physical restriction I will go over the 60 minutes to allow them the time they need.
A sliding scale is available for those who need it.
How did you get started in this business?
After working in physical therapy for years I found my way to a continuing education course that addressed how unexpressed emotions and beliefs created tension in our bodies which often correlated with physical dysfunction. While learning how to help people release in this way I became intrigued with the topic and pursued my Master’s degree in Counseling.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with clients suffering from:
chronic pain, anxiety, depression, poor focus, trauma, ptsd as well as clients looking for personal/spiritual growth.

Recently my wife and I found out that we are pregnant and we could not be more excited.
