    It varies from client to client. Face to face appointments are good, but Zoom meetings seem to be the preferred means of meeting in this post pandemic world.  Some appointments can be handled on a single visit, generally, it will take two or three visits/calls/Zoom's to complete assistance with a client.

    There are no additional charges for working with a Insurance Agent or Registered Representative. I'm compensated by the product providers, and approach my work with a fiduciary standard, to always act in the best interest of my client.

    I moved into financial services in 2008, after getting laid off from a 22 year career with Weyerhaeuser during the great recession. I started off strictly as an individual health insurance agent, then added Medicare, life insurance, then annuities and mutual funds to my avilable services.

    While my main focus are individuals approaching the Medicare years, a growing segment of my business focuses on individuals having to roll over company sponsered retirement plans. I also with with small business owners, the self employed, and younger people looking to establish savings plans.

    Take a few minutes, and determine the rep you are speaking with has multiple options and products for you to consider. Frequently a rep will be tied to one provider - you may end up with a one size fits all solution, which may not be in your best interest. 

    For any professional, be careful how you reach out. The most egregious example at the moment are all the Medicare Help Line commercials on TV. When you're calling Joe Namath, you're actually reaching a lead service, and you'll be bombarded with calls.
