I am so grateful for the many amazing and truly touching and impactful experiences I have had working full-time for 25 years.
If you choose to work with me, you will find that I am warm, truly compassionate and that I will do my very best to understand what it's like to walk in your shoes and communicate that to you.
I genuinely believe that most people are doing the very best they can during difficult situations and experience great relief by being truly heard and understood. I also offer them new tools to employ, if they wish.
I'm a very respectful client centered therapist and therefore always respectful of my client's process. I see wellness, wholeness and the best in my clients and so have never met client I did not like, enjoy and admire.
Other than, no-fault traumas that create PTST (for which I have found EMDR to be a more effective tool than Hypnosis), I believe that life presents challenging and sometimes painful situations or "growth opportunities" which many times keep repeating until we master them.
In my life, I have found it much less painful to master them as quickly as possible to avoid continuous hurt. I sincerely promise you, I will not ask anything of you anything I am have not done or I'm not willing to do myself.
If you are new to therapy, I encourage you to not settle until you find someone with whom you're comfortable; You need to feel equal and respected. In short, it needs to be a good match. I wish you the very best on your journey.
Meeting truly nice people and sharing in their experience of relief and realizing that they are "normal" And it is the situation that is abnormal or problematic and needs to be addressed in a different or new manner.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually begin by reviewing the basics such as confidentiality and addressing any concerns about the therapy process And introducing myself. Then I asked about what brought them into therapy as it's usually a very painful, pressing issue and I try to see if we can do something together to try to develop a plan I generate some reasonable hope, Usually a homework assignment, And a reason for the client to return To continue working on this issue in asubsequent session, if desired.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All licensed therapist have at a minimum a masters degree and then a minimum of 3000 supervised hours before taking a Rigorous written and oral examination For licensure. The pass rate varies with each exam but usually, I believe it's about 50%. I passed both on the first attempt.
Then there's 36 hours ongoing required continuing education with each three-year renewal period. Fortunately, I LOVE Studying this field and find it exciting and renewing, so I am always exceeding The required hours.
Studies also show that success and therapy correlates with the experience of the therapist and I have been licensed approximately 25 years so that means not only do I have a lot of experience, but I have a lot of education along with that experience.

My standard rate is $75 Per 50 minute hour. I will not cut you off abruptly.
if you tell me that is a hardship, I can slide down to 60 or somewhere in the middle at your request. I just expect you to be honest with me. I do not ask for your income statement. I accept cash, check or credit card. I do not accept insurance as I believe it is a gross violation of the client-Therapist confidentiality privilege. I would rather get the discount to you rather than the insurance company. However, I am happy to give you a receipt with my tax ID for your taxes or if you choose to bill your insurance company I will cooperate with you and whatever regarding necessary.
