This is my heart work. I enjoy meeting people and learning about them, and with them, which massage modality aligns with their particular ailment(s), at each individual session. We achieve this through care, communication, respect, loyalty and devotion to finding results.
In addition to my office in Westlake, since 2004, I have worked with a local eating disorder facility, at two locations, since 2008, as their on site massage therapist. At each location, I analyze and create massage therapies applicable to each individual in the moment.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new client?
I begin by reading your intake form and we'll talk about what is important to you for that session. Generally, the intake will be 5-10 minutes of your first session. You may remain dressed, or undress to where you are comfortable, always keeping an undergarment(s) on. With respect to working with many ages and life experiences, even if you have undressed during massage therapy for years, I would like you to take a minute and think about what is truly comfortable to you, in each session. You are not stuck to the table and you are free to adjust your arms or reposition at any time. Communication is most important in order for me
to work toward the optimum massage for you. We begin where you are in the moment and allow you to guide your experience. This is to remind you to notice and acknowledge what you're feeling systemically and wholly.
It begins with communication. As trust builds, we create the massage that meets your needs. If you want to be quiet, we're quiet. If you want to talk, we talk. You are not stuck on the table or in the room. Ideally, we find the modality or combination of modalities that comfort you to relaxation. As you progress through the levels of healing, I am here to go through those changes with you. Each visit suggests a unique massage and self acceptance.

How did you get started?
In 2001 I was a single mother of two, considering a nursing career, however, wanting to be a stay at home Mom too. On the advice of a dear friend, who was currently a Registered Nurse, I looked into massage therapy and found a school with a program allowing me to learn and be in school around the hours of my children. At that time I had only had two massages in my life and both for the back only. As I learned and developed a better understanding of holistic body care and my realtionship to it, through my highly talented teachers, and creative classess, I became quickly interested in massage therapy and healing. It was then, an easy decision to commit to the Holistic Bodywork Practitioner course. My journey began and continues to grow and I am thankful to each teacher along the path.
