More info: https://www.twinpwa.com/financial-planning
We first consult with our customer to understand what they are looking for and what their various financial goals are. We then take time to develop a sound financial strategy and ultimately present that strategy to the client. Once the client has a good understanding of the plan, we help them execute on what they need to do.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) and a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®). We've been in business since 2009 and have worked with over 400 individuals and families on their financial planning needs.

How did you get started in this business?
From a very young age, I was fascinated with investing and how the stock market worked. I started investing on my own in high school and continued throughout college. As I realized I had a knack for the trade, I began exploring internship opportunities in the investment arena while I was a student at UC Berkeley. I worked at institutional and private investment firms and learned that I enjoyed the person to person interaction the most. This led me to starting my own financial services practice back in 2009.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Our customers are typically married couples with children or individuals/couples approaching retirement. Our clients range quite a bit from ages 35-70. They are typically high income earners or have meaningful savings.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A couple came to us with a multitude of financial goals. They were doing well financially and were good savers but due to their demanding careers, they had not taken the time to outline their goals and put their money to work in the right ways. Their primary objectives were to develop a plan for retirement, fund their kids' education, and invest in stocks. Over a series of five meetings, we were able to address each goal, find a solution that both grew their portfolio and was also tax efficient, and help them implement an ongoing monitoring program on their financial planning.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
The customer should have a good understanding of what they are looking to get out of their financial advisor. Firms in the industry have a very wide range of products, services, and engagement levels. You as an individual will get the most from a provider by having an idea of what type of guidance or products you're looking for. Some examples of client needs are: professional advice, portfolio management, retirement planning, life insurance planning, access to alternative investments, reviewing an existing portfolio, and tax-efficiency planning.
