Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I know each business is unique. I like to sit down with you and listen to your website needs. Here are our typical project stages:
Contact us: We will answer any questions you have, and ask about your businesses and website needs.
Discovery: We will research solutions and strategize the best methods to achieve your goals. We will create a proposal and estimate and return this to you for approval.
Content: We will request details about your business, and together we will develop your website content. If a copyrighter is needed we begin working with them now.
Design & Development: We will begin the design and development on the platform recommended in your proposal. We start with the home page, set the look, and send it to you for approval. Then we move onto the design, functionality, and integrations for the entire website.
Approval: We will send you the website for final approval before we launch.
Launch: We will transfer the your website off our development URL and onto your live site. We will do a final round of quality control testing on multiple browsers and devices.
Relax: You can relax knowing we are available for any ongoing support you need. We offer content and design updates, ongoing SEO and Local SEO, as well as back-end maintenance.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design (R.I.S.D) where I studied both design and fine arts, and MFA from the School of Visual Arts, in New York city (S.V.A.) in computer art. I have taught at the Gnomon school of Visual Effects, Games, and Animation. This year I am teaching art and design at the LAUSD Art Conservatory for talented artists.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I usually write a custom proposal for each client. Websites usually range from $1050 - $7500. However you can an idea of the specifics on my pricing on my pricing page here: https://guedindesigns.com/features-and-pricing/
How did you get started in this business?
With over two decades experience in the commercial arts, I got my start in visual effects for advertising. For 17 years I worked on commercials for large brands such as Verizon, Apple, Budweiser, and Taco Bell. I became interested in website design while building banner images for a visual effects software company’s website.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Small businesses: staffing, lawyer, restaurant, chiropractor, health and wellness, author, agent, insurance, mobile dog grooming, nail salon, cleaning company, modeler, gaming company, contractor, visual effects company, accountant, fitness, flooring, artist, ecommerce, photographer, interior designer, and graphic designer.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
If you are looking for a local pro please call Guedin Designs. I recommend the following in your search: the website design company should be willing to come meet with you in person, listen to your needs, and make a website proposal that is a custom for your business needs and budget.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
I recommend you think about your budget - what investment are you willing to make? Do you need local SEO as well as general SEO? Do you have information you can share about your business in the form of blog posts?
