Jennifer Lopez, M.A., LPCC

Hi! My name is Jennifer Lopez and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of California. I have fourteen (14) years of clinical counseling experience and several years of Christian counseling experience as well. Working with diverse clients over the years has given me opportunities to learn about people and their unique individuality. Respect and learning about your culture and how it affects your worldview and experience without judgment or assumption is important in deepening my understanding of where you are coming from.

I have a Master’s Degree in Professional Clinical Counseling from Liberty University in Virginia. During the fourteen (14) years of clinical counseling experience, I’ve worked with clients in private practice, a community mental health center and in a church setting.

My approach to therapy is eclectic using various techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy, positive psychology, solutions focused therapy, person-centered therapy and psychoeducation. I strive to provide a warm and supportive environment allowing clients to work toward their goals and process at their pace. Treatment approach is tailored to your needs while being sensitive to your cultural identity and life experience. In collaboration, we will work on establishing goals and steps to help you overcome your current problems.
