Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Detailed telephone consultation followed by review of documents provided by client. In normal times this is followed by an office consultation to review and sign bankruptcy petition and schedules. The office visit can be replaced by a long telephone call.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Prior to graduating from law school in 1990 I interned in the chambers of a Sacramento bankruptcy judge. I have practiced in bankruptcy court since then and have appeared in more than ten thousand cases. I am a former director of the Sacramento Bankruptcy Forum and former President of the Sacramento County Bar Association Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Section. I have presented at continuing legal education presentations in Sacramento and Yolo counties.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I typically charge a flat fee for Chapter 7 cases. The price is based on the complexity of a case.
How did you get started in this business?
I enjoy solving problems for clients. Debt can be a tremendous burden, I like helping people resolve these problems.
