Laura C. Strom, MS, LMFT, LPCC, CRC is a Stanford-trained trauma and disabilities specialist. Laura is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT 49174), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC 149), Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC 00113822), and a Registered Play Therapist (RPT 3178). She works with people from ages 4 and up.
As a CRC Laura has specialized training in brain injury, hearing loss, and autoimmune disorders. She offers eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy in addition to Stanford Cue-Centered Therapy (CCT) for trauma. CCT is a 15-18 session intervention to treat trauma. Laura was one of two therapists who tested it in a 3-year clinical research trial at Stanford. The subjects in the trial had a 65% drop in posttraumatic symptoms very rapidly.
