About

You did it! You are looking for a Therapist! Isn't it draining just thinking about! How many times have we convinced ourselves 'we'll be fine, I'm just having an 'off day?' Our brains can be jerks some times and they lead us to believe a lot of unhelpful information. I will help you choose the thoughts that serve you and toss out your unhelpful thoughts. Psychotherapy is a partnership between us. I walk you through the foggy brain, the spinning wheels, and the ebbs and flows of your sadness, avoidance, reluctance, and peaks of anxiety and depression.

I have over 18 years of experience working with individuals mood disorders, personality disorders, neurocognitive conditions, and persons with congenital and acquired disabilities.

I have worked in inpatient acute settings, outpatient settings, hospital settings, and home care environments.

I focus on the following areas of support:

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

Anxiety and Depression

Sexual Trauma

Substance Use Disorders

Domestic Violence

Traumatic Brain Injuries

Autism Spectrum Disorder

Family issues

Sex,and Relationship, and Intimacy issues

I am Licensed to Provide Rehabilitation, Vocational, and Therapeutic services. I provide both Therapeutic services and Rehabilitation Counseling. I am offering online services.

I really enjoy watching Individuals develop insight into themselves. I love meeting people in their most vulnerable spaces, while showing them the human side of a Therapist. I love the organic moments of laughter that arise during sessions. I enjoy creating a meaningful connection.

I have known that I wanted to be a Mental Health and Addiction Specialist since I was a young child. I have experienced my own personal trauma and was able to work through my challenges. I completed Graduate school after spending years trying to figure out how to work in a job that provided fulfillment, purpose, and meaning. I finally ended up opening up my own practice so that I could provide care the way individuals are supposed to receive Therapy. I believe in a person-centered modality - which means that you lead the process.

I have worked with individuals who have experienced a variety of challenges. When people ask me what type of Therapy do I provide, I respond with the following response:

"I work with humans who are hurting." It is this simple. I rely on your intuition to help you connect to the unresolved issues. I will guide the process while you share and learn safe vulnerability.

Recently, on a video appointment, a client's pet suddenly stole their cellular device (which the virtual session was taking place on). I was able to successfully experience a fast and hilarious tour of the individual's home through the eyes of a Kitty cat! Made for an organic experience full of connection and laughter!

Trust your Intuition! If you do not feel warmth and validation within the first five minutes of a discussion, then the individual is not the right fit. A provider will have the natural ability to create a nurturing dynamic easily.

Consider the individual's tone, delivery, and ability to communicate clearly and with gentleness.

When seeking a Therapist, ask yourself what feels safest.
