We help active adults & athletes in Oakland and the surrounding Bay Area get back to workouts and sports they enjoy without surgery, stopping activities they love, or relying on pain medication. Pro+Kinetix Utilizes a 3-Step Process: Step 1: Find The Real Cause Of Your Pain We'll take you through a comprehensive biomechanical assessment and identify the cause of your problem. Then, we'll explain what must be done to get you back to full speed and back to the activities you love. Step 2: Fix Your Problem Areas We'll develop a treatment plan that will be tailored specifically to you and your goals. This will ultimately allow us to get you stronger, pain-free, and on track to reach your goals more effectively and efficiently. Step 3: Stay At Peak Performance Once we get you back to exercising pain free, we'll implement strategies to get you performing at an even higher level than you were prior to your injury. We'll also implement strategies to "bulletproof" your body to decrease the likelihood of future injuries occurring.

What we enjoy most is seeing our patients overcome frustrating injuries that they have dealt with for years get back to working out, playing with their kids, and living the life they have always dreamed of living.

    Frequently asked questions

    Our typical process involves;

    1. A thorough, complimentary phone consultation to ensure you are the right fit and someone we can help (we do not want to waste your time and if we aren't a good fit, we have a multitude of connections in the Bay Area and we will be able to help you find someone who can)

    2. A full body, initial evaluation with a Doctor of Physical Therapy that includes; Current Health & Previous Injury Analysis, 7 Step Mobility & Strength Assessment, Posture & Alignment Evaluation, Doctor’s Report of Findings, and More!

    3. Following the evaluation your physical therapist will be able to determine how many sessions they anticipate you will need (typically patients only need 5-10 sessions and they're pain free and back to doing everything that want to be able to do without any restrictions!) Patients only need to be seen once a week with us, due to the high level of 1-on-1 care that you receive and the fact that you spend a full hour with a Doctor of Physical Therapy who is also a Certified Strength & Condition Specialist (Less than 5% of physical therapists have this training combination).

    You will never be treated by an aid or an assistant or just doing exercises you could just be doing at home. Again, we value our patient's time and we're not here to waste it!

    Each physical therapist has their Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Each physical therapist is also a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (the gold standard of training - NBA, NFL and other professional teams do not allow their athletes to work with a trainer who does not have this certification).

    Pro+Kinetix was created to change the landscape of physical therapy by taking a modern, personalized approach. The current trend is that many physical therapy clinics are now requiring their physical therapists to see multiple patients at once. Dr. Ben, the founder, decided he could no longer watch patients slow down their recovery time in large physical therapy "mills". He knew his patient's deserved better and therefore, he founded Pro+Kinetix. The Pro+Kinetix difference: We heal your injury or chronic issue, address the biomechanical root cause, bulletproof your body to prevent recurrence, & allow you to attain your athletic aspirations. We're different because we're BOTH Doctors of Physical Therapy AND Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialists (a requirement for all pro sports trainers). And typically in just 5 to 10, once a week sessions, handled exclusively by Doctors of Physical Therapy (not assistants), we take you to whole new level!

    One of our personal favorites was when a runner that was having knee pain, who was told by her physician she doesn't have high optimism she'll ever run again, get back to running pain free in under 3 weeks. She then went on to complete a triathalon pain free just 2 months later.

    Make sure you are getting individualized, one-on-one care. Traditional PT requires the patient to go in 2-3 times a week just to spend 10-15 minutes with the PT and then handed off to an aid or an assistant to do exercises they've done countless times before and ones that they could just be doing at home. Work with a PT that empowers you and gives you all the necessary knowledge and tools to make progress and accomplish your goals without having to be completely reliant on them to do so.

    You can tell a lot by a physical therapy practice and if it is a high quality clinic just by the first phone call. Are they more interested in getting your date of birth, insurance information, etc.. than they are about your actual injury, how it's impacting your life, and what your goals are. To us, the patient's story is what is of utmost importance.
