    18 years of financial planning experience working with retirees, pre-retirees, and business owners to develop the proper plan specific for each individual.

    I started in the financial services industry September 4, 2001.  This is probably the worst week you could hope to start a career in the business with Sept. 11 just the next week, the stock market closing for a week, portfolios dropping everywhere, and everyone afraid of seemingly everything.  17 years later, the lessons learned that week as well as throughout 2008 have served me well as we continue to manage volatility and risk tolerance today.

    We focus mainly on retirees and pre-retirees by building retirement plans with thorough income planning taking into account many of the financial headwinds we'll all face including taxes, inflation, market volatility, estate planning and more.

    I'm a proud father of 4 young boys and am so proud to support them in their love of golf and other sports.  My 8 and 10 year olds qualified for and played in the world championships of golf in Pinehurst, NC in 2018.  

    Being a part of that experience, caddying and supporting as a father was an experience I'll never forget.

    My advice would be to meet with advisors, ask about their experience and how their clients have fared during tumultuous times as wella as the good times.  What is their practice of communication with their clients, how often are they in touch?  What are the exit strategies in place in case of market downturns?  What licenses do they have?  Are they able to provide advice across multiple areas OR are the ONLY licensed in insurance OR only focus on mutual funds OR only on stocks, etc.  I'd ask if they are a fiduciary, are they responsible for putting their clients needs ahead of their own income/ commission needs?

    Are they going to build a financial plan for you/ with you?  Or, are they simply going to take your money and invest it without a plan?

    Think about what you want your money to do for you.  Is your main goal growth or is it income?  Are you concerned about taxes?  If so, are you concerned about taxes NOW or later or both?  Where do I want my money to go when I die?  Do I have a financial Plan and how can I find an advisor that offers a plan as part of service?  Do I have an exit strategy in the case of tumultuous markets?  What kind of advisor would I feel comfortable meeting with my spouse, my kids, etc. should I pre-decease them?
