I have always worked with children as far back as I can remember. I specifically went into substance abuse counseling after I lost my sister to an overdose in 2000 and then incorporated academic counseling the more I worked in schools and the needs changed. I have continued to adapt as my family needs have changed and as the community needs and resources evolve

A recent event I am fond of is the surprise Birthday party brunch my (17YO) daughter and my wife threw for me with the help of a my daughter's boyfriend and few close family friends. They decorated the house with a blue and yellow theme to match our wedding colors. There were Chinese lanterns, hanging pompoms, streamers, balloons, flowers, signage, and the table was set with all kinds of brunch foods, mostly plant based so I could eat it. Plus I got to go for a manicure before! It was a special event that they planned for me.
