Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a free consultation (by email, phone, or Zoom/Google Meet) to discuss your creative vision, goals or pain points you want resolved, timeline, and platform choices. Once we agree on direction and budget, a deposit secures your spot.
After that, you’ll complete a quick project intake form. This helps me gather all the details and assets needed to jump right into your project on Day One and deliver results that match your vision, on time and on budget.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Educational background in art, graphic design, and architecture. Additional ongoing courses and certification in coding languages HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, and, On Brand AI Imagery.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
All services are priced in packages, not by the hour. Each package starts with a deposit, either split 50/50 or 30/30/30, and is scheduled in advance based on my calendar.
For small fixes or updates, choose from Half or Full VIP Day options, which are perfect for quick punch lists. For larger web design projects, I offer 1, 2, 4, and 6+ Week Packages for larger projects. We’ll figure out which is the best fit for you during a free discovery call.
How did you get started in this business?
A lifelong designer, I began formal, old-school commercial art training in high school and college, before Photoshop and the internet. Digital art and communication changed my life in the early 90s; the rest is history.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with visionaries and creators from many walks of life! Artists and musicians shape bold stories, while filmmakers and gallery owners bring bold and unique energy. I've helped entrepreneurs, business owners, and magazine publishers drive change and spark growth in all sizes and sectors — from bakeries and retail shops to law offices, wellness clinics, and tech firms.
Over the years, I’ve partnered with skin care brands, authors, coaches, designers, and realtors bring their own spark and story. Whether you’re a restaurant owner, publisher, marketing expert, jeweler, or yoga instructor, I help businesses stand out and creative visions come alive.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Not a single event per se, but every website redesign or makeover involving a platform switch or modernizing brands for our ever-changing technical landscape brings me a thrill every time.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
When hiring a web designer, choose someone who can tell your story clearly. Your website should immediately reflect your business, product, or personal style.
Seek designers who understand how to use language, color, and images — all are key for setting the mood and attracting your ideal visitors. Top designers blend strong messaging with proven SEO, while making your site feel smooth, unique, and easy to use.
Pick a designer who asks smart questions and skips the tech jargon. You want clear updates, open teamwork, and honest feedback. Their job is to handle the tough parts: fast loading, smooth navigation, and mobile-friendly pages with strong calls to action.
Every part of your site matters. And the best designers pull it all together for a modern and authentic online experience, so you can focus on sharing your ideas!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Before reaching out, it helps to know your budget and timeline, plus how hands-on you plan to be with your site after launch. Will you want ongoing maintenance, or do you want tutorials so you can manage updates yourself? Think about whether you need a logo, what formats you’ll need, and if you’ve already gathered any assets or need content created from scratch.
It’s also smart to look at your competition and consider the keywords that matter for your business—even if you need help generating them. Having a color scheme, design style, or specific inspirations in mind can speed up the creative process and ensure results you love. And if you’re considering stock or AI-generated visuals, think ahead about preferences and budget for these assets. All these details help make your project fast, focused, and on point!
