What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
PR stands for public relations. We're building relationships. It's a basic strategic communication process that builds mutually beneficial relationships between one entity and another. It happens in the media. So public relations is about earned media. We are not marketing. Marketing is a separate entity. Public relations is promoting. You're promoting yourself to the public, unlike paid media. Now let's talk about paid media. Many entities online and also in print, pay thousands of dollars for paid advertisements. You see them all the time online and in magazines, products that are advertised. The reason they advertise products is because the publication or the media entity makes money. This is how they pay their staff. This is how they keep their business afloat. Their goal is to get lots of paid advertisers to keep their business running. However, what we're doing here is we're getting earned media.
