About
In addition to my legal expertise, I have substantial experience running businesses of various sizes, at an executive level, in a number of industries including Technology, Apparel, Manufacturing, Education, and Healthcare. My business experience gives me an in-depth understanding of the business issues and the realities of needing to make business decisions and assessing legal risk. This allows me to advise my clients adequately and help them make an informed decision and take on calculated risks when it makes good business sense.
When representing individuals, my goal and focus is to identify the best solution for each client. Whether it is a document review or helping someone file for Bankruptcy protection so they can get a fresh start, I like to take the time to learn my client's goals so that I can help them accomplish them in the best manner possible.
I take great pride and pleasure in being able to help my clients. I recently got a call from a client I represented in a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy case a few years back and she needed to close escrow on a property she was selling and one of her old creditors had resurfaced. I took great pleasure in first learning that as a result of the Bankruptcy I helped her file for, she had moved on to rebuild her credit, purchase a home, and make a substantial profit when selling it but also was able to help her close escrow on time by giving her the documentation she needed to complete the transaction.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I generally like to setup an introductory (complementary) meeting to better understand my client's goals and objectives so that I can determine the best path forward for assisting them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been trained as a Certified Mediator and have conducted several mediations through the Los Angeles Superior Court Mediation program. The training and the experience has helped me become a better negotiator and more successful in resolving disputes in favor of my clients.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
The key word in any attorney-client relationship is "relationship". I recommend meeting with and speaking with the attorney you are thinking about representing you. Once you've confirmed the attorney's credentials and expertise, it needs to come down to whether or not you feel comfortable working with that individual.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Legal process can be confusing and costly. Ask as many questions as you need to in order to have a comfort level for what you can expect in terms of ultimate result, how long it will take, and how much you can expect things to cost.
