How did you get started in this business?
My own healing from childhood trauma and neglect combined with my education created a passion to help others. I thrive on seeing others gain confidence and peace in their lives as I have. I transitioned to coaching due to the solution based results that make it a quicker recovery than a typical therapy.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with clients between the ages of 15 to 100 and from all social/economic backgrounds. We work together on marriages, work improvement, dating issues, depression, anxiety and hurts or resentments that block success.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
When I see a client gain a new understanding of their problem or change how they perceive their life, it's the greatest gift to me. What I know in that moment is that they have just gained an awareness of their life that will be with them forever. They just gained a new tool to use the rest of their life and it may seem small to them but I know the power of perspective - it moves mountains.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Find the right fit for you! Each person is unique and our needs from a coach or counselor will be unique. Just like any relationship, you want to have a good rapport with them and build trust from there. You will be wasting money if you don't value your needs first.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Are they flexible with insurance since many clinicians do not work with insurance companies. Also, to think about what area of their life they really want to see change in. It's a good starting point.
