Dr. Schantz is a registered psychological assistant PSB94025010 supervised by Gregg Baringoldz, Ph.D, Licensed Psychologist PSY11971.
She is psychotherapist in the field of clinical psychology. In her clinical work, she delivers cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), attachment theory and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) to adult, adolescent and teen clients, with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, relationship, and adjustment issues. Some presenting problems are anxiety, stress, depression, and trauma. She specializes in military caregivers and first responders. Especially treating caregivers and families.
Dr. Schantz is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Hope International University, where she has been teaching graduate and undergraduate students since 2014.
Dr. Schantz received her Psy.D. in applied clinical psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She defended her dissertation titled, Mentoring Experiences: The Development of Virtue in Early Career Counselors. She enjoys mentoring and working with early career counselors and clinicians, helping them navigate the field of psychology and build professional development. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Hope Counseling Center. She has worked in various clinical settings including, community counseling centers, private practices, and non-profits.
I enjoy working with clients to help them find healing, meaning and clarity. I work collaboratively with my clients to find what works for them, in regards to treatment, goals, coping and discussing problems. I’ve been in clinical practice since 2012, and enjoy working with adults, adolescents, college students, early career clinicians and caregivers. I’m certified in EMDR treatment and Prepare/Enrich couples treatment.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Client centered and a collaborative working relationship. We will process issues together, define goals for treatment and work on coping skills.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a masters in marriage and family therapy and a doctorate in clinical psychology.
I am trained in EMDR, Pre/Enrich premarital couples counseling and attachment therapy.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Set session price. I do not accept insurance, cash pay only $125.00 for first 60 min initial session, $65.00 for 30 minute, $100.00 for 45 minutes and $150.00 for 60 minute session.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
My advice is meet with the clinician and make sure there is a connection to work from. During your time in session, you will be establishing trust and boundaries. It’s important that you can trust your clinician.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Scheduling, fee for treatment and goals for treatment.
