About
We provide tax preparation services for individuals and businesses, with a special eye on those who are self-employed or who have real estate holdings.
With extensive Financial and Accounting experience, spanning over 35 years, along with continuing education and degrees earned through MBA, you know that you are dealing with professionals who will help you with your return to maximize your tax savings, without taking undue risks to your financial security.
As part of our due diligence, we review your books to ensure that your bookkeeping is solid. If you need bookkeeping services, we offer those, as well, which will save you time and money when it comes time to prepare your tax returns.
We file all of our returns as "self-prepared," in order to reduce your risk of audit. We also provide audit defense insurance, in case the IRS takes issue with anything in your return. This will save you thousands of dollars, should the IRS come calling.
We work quickly and efficiently, while maintaining accuracy, in order to serve you in the best manner possible. Let's get started!
I've always had an affinity for numbers, and I know that this is a rare trait. My pleasure comes from helping people to grow their businesses with my help. Tax preparation is but a microcosm of the services that I provide. If this is how we make our introduction, and I am able to do a whole lot more for you and your business, that is a great win for both of us.
I love that!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We speak with you to get a clear idea of your way of life, how you do business, and look for paths that will enable you to maximize your deductions.
We review your account statements and records, and prepare your returns in the most advantageous manner possible, without putting you at undue risk.
We follow-up with you to ensure that your future tax planning remains in-sync with your goals, and we recommend strategies that will save you money, in the future.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been preparing personal and business tax returns for over 35 years. Having an entrepreneurial spirit, I am keenly aware of the challenges and responsibilities inherent in running one's own businesses, and I bring that experience to bear in the planning and preparation of one's tax returns.
For over 30 years, I have consulted businesses ranging from one-person shops to the Fortune Five, and this has provided me a wealth of background in the vagaries of business operations of all styles. I can relate to what you are doing, because I have either done it, been involved in it, or helped others to achieve it.
I have held licenses to sell fire and casualty insurance, life and health insurance, variable products, securities, mortgages, real estate, and more. I spent over a decade as a financial advisor.
In addition, I have multiple degrees, including:
BSBA - Finance (emp. in Financial Planning)
BSBA - Sport Management (honor graudate)
MBA - General Management
Undergraduate Minors in Economics and Applied Statistics
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My standard rate, across all services is $125 per hour. However, for tax services, my net rate will usually be much lower. Once I have a chance to examine your case, I will provide an exact rate.
Every situation is different. Obviously, a small online business operating in one state will have a different fee than a global operation. I will do my best to be able to work within your budget.
No matter what rate you pay, you will get the same high level of service that I provide to each of my clients, tailored for your situation.
How did you get started in this business?
Honestly, as a young person, I didn't see the benefit of paying someone to do something that I could do better and cheaper myself.
As I have gained experience, I realize the value that I add, and I am not afraid to be compensated fairly for that.
Hoever, I have not lost sight of the fact that everyone wants to receive the best value for what they spend, and I balance my needs with the needs of my clients, so that everyone walks-away happy.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Sole proprietors
Partnerships
LLCs
Trusts
Estates
Corporations
The vast majority of my clients own businesses, but if you simply have to file an individual or married return, I can certainly help you with that.
If you have a large corporation, or a corporation registered in Delaware or certain other states, then you will need to hire a CPA. I don't have a CPA, so I can't help you with your tax return, but I can do wonders for you as a consultant.
If you have your own SME, then I can certainly help you. I have worked with businesses in the following industries, and more:
Agriculture
Automotive
Beauty
Chiropractic
Consultants
Cosmetics
Doctors & Dentists
e-Businesses
Education
Energy
Farming
Finance
Geology
Hotels & Hospitality
Insurance
Janitorial
Kangaroo breeding (just kidding)
Livery

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
In over 35 years, I have only had two clients audited.
In the first case, the client didn't follow my recommendation, and hit a known audit trigger. I stayed with the client through the audit, and negotiated a settlement in which the goverment actually owed my client money.
In the second case, I had a client try to file a fraudulent return, in order to qualify for financing. When the financing didn't come, they filed an amendment that reduced their taxes by over $50k, which is an automatic audit trigger. Due to their dishonesty, I dropped them as a client.
I will do everything possible to help you save money on your taxes, but I will not intentionally file a false report. I do recommend audit defense for every return (I make no money on this), because safety is preferable to sorrow!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Hire someone who will tell you what you need to hear, even if it is not what you want to hear!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
A customer should determine whether it is willing to pay what it takes to get things done right, or is willing to suffer the consequences that may come with a discount.
It is much easier to pay the taxes you actually owe than to pay the penalties, interest, and legal & accounting fees to fix your past mistakes.
