About

We provide financial advice focused on tax implications. Whether we are discussing investments, estate planning, retirement planning, tax planning, financial planning, risk management, or income planning, each conversation focused wealth management through a tax lens.

The financial advisory industry has a habit of categorizing individuals and businesses into boxes by assets. We prefer to focus on understanding your "big picture" goals, instead of presenting a generic menu of options. It's only then we can begin to examine the appropriate 'how' to fit your unique 'why' and the applicable wealth management and tax strategies best suited for your needs.

I wasnt sue what to expect and whether or not I would be comfortable with a process like this. William gave me good advice and how I could do some things on my own first. It really wasnt the right time for me to do anything yet and I appreciated his honesty. When I am ready, I will definitely think of calling him first.

He made things easy to understand. We talked about everything that mattered to me and he gave me piece of mind about what tomorrow should look like and clear on where things are today.

    Frequently asked questions

There are three distinct ways that we work with clients. The first way is based upon a transactional relationship which is typically for clients who have relatively simple needs and are just looking for a solution to a specific goal.

The second way that we work with clients is by developing an investment strategy that is customized and managed on a fee-basis. We have tremendous resources in this area to provide the right solutions for our clients to achieve the best possible outcomes.

The third way that we work with clients is on a relationship basis by developing a comprehensive financial plan that is updated and reviewed on an ongoing basis. Each plan is tailored to the client where they have their own personal website that tracks all of their assets and is updated daily, linking all of their account in one place. By establishing clarity and organization we find that clients feel more comfortable about their future and are able reach their goals much faster.

Comprehensive planning is generally the only way we serve our business clients. The needs and requirements are considerably more complex and often involve multiple factors and stakeholders as well as coordination with other trusted internal (CFOs, COOs, Controllers, Accountants) and external professionals (CPAs, Attorneys).

As fiduciaries, we are governed to think of your needs above and beyond any other considerations with utmost honesty and integrity.

We have a diverse team that includes our specialist for law, tax, trusts, estates, public and private foundations. We have our resident CFP for planning advisement as well as the whole home office team for more complex design considerations. We have our Investments specialist that works closely with all of the various investment partnerships and fund managers.

The scope of our focus is long-term, holistic planning for our individual clients and as it relates to our business clients, that includes estate planning, tax efficient investments, retirement planning, tax planning, financial planning, and succession and/or exit planning.

We believe in proving our value before ever recommending services. We do not charge for a consultation. Due to COVID we began to conduct virtual meetings via Zoom. Today if you prefer we still can conduct virtual meetings or we can conduct in-person meetings in our office or your business or residence.

We prefer to consider a first meeting an interview. It is important that we mutually agree that it makes sense to move forward. Given the trust and care that is required to have a productive working relationship, it is crucial that we connect both personally and professionally. This can easily be recognized in our first meeting. We want our clients to feel comfortable since this is a very personal process.

When it is decided to move forward, it depends on the work that you require. If it is a simple solution that is needed, more transactionally, there will be a set cost for that solution and the organization that we choose to satisfy that solution will often compensate us directly so there are no additional costs to you.

If the need is investment related, we offer a sliding fee scale depending upon the assets that will be managed. Our fees are very much in line or below those of other organizations.

If the need is planning related, then is depends on the complexity of the financial plan. Pricing can vary given the need, but a basic plan for an indiviudal with minimal complexity is $750, a couple with more involved needs is generally $1500, for a basic business planning scenario, it would start around $2,000. Here it is important to share that we only consider moving forward if we can provide considerable value over the savings potential of our recommendations or designing the ideal solution to fit your needs.

We work with individuals starting their careers in need of financial literacy.

We work with established professionals in need of estate planning, financial planning and investment advice.

We work with pre-retirees and retirees to make sure their life's efforts are structured in the best possible way to last their lifetime.

We work with clients that wish to ensure that their legacy planning passes in the most tax efficient way to their loved ones or their causes.

We work with businesses to ensure that the principals and employees benefit from the best guidance possible to run the operation, retain and attract the best employees, utilize all available tax strategies to increase the bottom line and provide the best management and direction of benefit and retirement plans.

Most importantly, the measure of tax efficiencies is our true focus whether starting out or very well established, individual needs or business requirements

It is human nature to feel anxiety when changing or meeting a financial planner for the first time.

Will I be judged for not handling my finances in the most ideal way?

What will they ask me to change in my spending or savings habits?

Do they have the expertise I really need?

Can I trust them to place my needs first and not have a hidden agenda?

These are some of the common concerns we encounter. It is important to understand that a certain amount of due diligence is required.

Look up the advisor and see if there are any questionable disclosures that give you pause. FINRA Brokercheck, or the Securities & Exchange Commission's websites are a great place to start. From there, make sure that they provide the type of advice you are looking for if you have a specialized need. If yours is a general need, make sure you feel comfortable working with the advisor or team, beyond making sure that they are proficient enough to address your needs. Remember, done well, this should be a long relationship that will take you through the various phases of your life. You need someone that always places you first.
